Kim Baker

Former CEO, Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN)

Kim Baker has over 20 years of experience in multiple healthcare sectors and government.  She started her career as a Respiratory Therapist and most recently was CEO at Central Local Health Integration Network (LHIN). As a lifelong learner, she credits the amazing people she has worked with and many of the organizations including ParaMed Home Healthcare, University Health Network and North York General Hospital as helping her achieve her goals.  Her leadership skills are complemented with governance skills as a Chartered Director with board experience in insurance, healthcare, hospice, and education sectors.

Aside from being an inspiring executive leader, Kim is also an avid fitness enthusiast and here are three takeaways:

  • Know what is important to you and protect your time
  • Don’t be afraid to ask for help; it is not a sign of weakness
  • Be less afraid of making mistakes; that’s how we all learn
