Leaders are Dreamers

If you are a leader, you are most likely a dreamer.

You have a sense of purpose greater than yourself.

But you don’t stop there – You take action to see your dreams!

So, why would a good leader need a coach ?

To take you from Good to Great !

“Becoming a leader is synonymous with becoming yourself. It’s precisely that simple, and it’s also that difficult.”

Warren Bennis

Have you ever said to yourself “That’s just the way I am”? That very attitude may be limiting your success and happiness. Science has shown us that you can change for the better.

A better you is an unstoppable change agent.

The right coach will help you get out of your own way.

They will take you further, exploit your potential, rally for you, challenge you, help you identify your blind spots and self-limiting behaviours, to take you to the next level personally and professionally.

Hi, I’m Shiyen

My mission is simple – I want to help create better leaders and organizations, for a better tomorrow.

I am a Certified Executive Coach and Leadership Expert, who works with high-performing ambitious leaders and organizations. As the host and curator of the first of it’s kind show “Lessons in Leadership and Life”, we’ve been able to share candid conversations with top leaders in Canada. As a professional speaker, I have shared the stage with legendary leaders such as Jack Canfield (co-author of Chicken Soup for the Soul series).

I’ve trained under the World’s #1 Executive Coach, Marshall Goldsmith’s Stakeholder Centered Coaching (SCC), which is a unique coaching methodology. There’s a reason 75 Fortune 100 companies have chosen SCC executive coaches. It is:

  • Proven – 95% of leaders improved their effectiveness
  • Strategy driven – tied to company objectives and goals
  • Measured – so you know if it’s having impact
  • Positive – leaders and their support team set aside the past and focus on moving the leader forward to a more successful future
  • Time-Efficient – coaching plans are built into and respect leaders’ schedules

The secret sauce of stakeholder centered coaching comes from leveraging respected colleagues, who play an integral part in the coaching process.

I’ve trained, coached and mentored top clinicians, entrepreneurs and leaders. I blend my diverse training in neuroscience, occupational therapy, cognitive-behavioural therapy,  yoga and meditation to create a truly holistic and empowering approach.

Parenting has shown me some of the best leadership lessons and being a mother of two, I am well aware of the demands that today’s leaders face in our attempts to integrate work and life.

Growing up in the busy city of Mumbai, India – I learned early on the importance of diversity and inclusion. I was fortunate to realize the benefits of a great coach early on as a National Level Swimmer, and I continue to work with great coaches to help me become a better version of myself every day.

I am a life-long learner and volunteer much of my time to mentor and coach new professional immigrants in Canada and professional students at the University of Toronto. I am an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto and also serve as a Director on the Board of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
