Jo-Anne Poirier

Jo-Anne Poirier is a respected corporate leader with a strong reputation for leading change and growth in the public, non-profit and private sectors. As President and CEO of VON Canada, she leads more than 12,000 employees and volunteers in delivering vital home and community care to people in Ontario and Nova Scotia, with a focus on improving care and enabling people to remain healthy in their own homes and communities, where they want to be. Jo-Anne also works with other sector leaders to contribute to positive health and social system changes.

With a strong commitment to continuous improvement and strengthening community, Jo-Anne also holds numerous Board positions. She is Board Chair of the Shaw Centre; Vice-Chair of the Board and Chair of the Governance Committee of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO); and Member of the Boards of Directors of TVO and Calian Group CO. She is founding Co-Chair of Ottawa’s Public Sector Leaders’ Forum. Jo-Anne has received many awards for her work in the community, including the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.
