Founder & Executive Chair, Closing the Gap Healthcare

Connie is a seasoned executive and a values-based leader with a long history of leading large teams through Canada’s complex and highly regulated health care environment. She is the founder and Executive Chair of Closing the Gap Healthcare, an award-winning, organization that is continuously growing and innovating. Currently, Closing the Gap’s over 2000 healthcare professionals provide a continuum of professional services that includes Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Social Work, Personal Support and Dietetics, as well as future care cost consulting services.

Connie is a life-long learner, a board member and advisor for several public and private organizations. Sheis an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto, a leader in the Ivey Business School supporting entrepreneurism and the co-chair of Health Quality Ontario’s Quality Standards Committee. She has received numerous awards such as the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, Women Leader of the Year Award and has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of Canada’s most Powerful Women Top 100. In 2018, she was appointed to sit on the Ontario Premier’s Council on Improving Healthcare and Ending Hallway Medicine along with 10 other visionary health system leaders.
