Catherine is a role model for so many aspiring leaders, and here are three takeaways:

  • It’s important for leaders to be present and in the moment, and take each day as it comes
  • Mentoring is important, but sponsorship is even more important. Sponsor an aspiring leader if you have the ability to do so and say their name in a room where there are opportunities.
  • It starts at home – choose your partner well; choose someone who will support you as their equal, and give you the flexibility to pursue your own dreams.
